Our instructors are experienced, heart-centered teachers who bring wisdom, compassion, and real-world practice to every class. From healing and aromatherapy to spiritual growth and professional development, they are here to support your learning with depth, care, and integrity.
Debra Reis
Deb Reis serves as Director of ISHA’s Aromatherapy Program and is an instructor for both HTSM and CCA. With credentials as RN, MSN, CCA, HTSM/I, she brings more than 40 years of healthcare experience and specializes in integrative therapies, especially in healthcare settings.
Deb is passionate about sharing natural health and wellness tools drawn from God’s creation, and loves helping others bring greater comfort, balance, and healing into their lives and work. Her teaching blends clinical insight, compassionate care, and practical application to support both personal and professional growth.
When she is not teaching, Deb enjoys traveling and spending time with family, especially riding roller coasters at Cedar Point!
Kate Brown
Kate Brown is an Aromatherapy Instructor and Board Member at ISHA, with credentials as a CCA/I, HTSMP, and HTACP/I. She specializes in aromatherapy, animals, and spiritual healing, bringing a compassionate, whole-being approach to her teaching and practice.
Kate is the founder of Kate Brown Healing Essentials, where she supports both people and animals through essential oils, energy work, education, and consultations. She was drawn to this work through witnessing how deeply essential oils, prayerful presence, and gentle care can support healing in both people and animals.
She especially loves serving students who want to live with greater purpose and wholeness, learning to listen to the body’s messages and care for themselves and those they love with compassion.
When she is not teaching, you’ll often find Kate with her corgis, Hudson and Bohdi, who keep her grounded in joy.
Margaret Leslie
Margaret E. Leslie is the President of the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy and a dedicated teacher, practitioner, and mentor in the healing arts. She has devoted decades to helping others grow in skill, confidence, and compassion through Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and Clinical Aromatherapy. Â
Drawn to healing from an early age, Margaret began her professional career as a school psychologist in Knox County, Tennessee, where she served for 25 years. In the 1990s, she expanded her path into energy healing, becoming a Healing Touch certified practitioner and later an instructor. By 2004, she had continued her studies with the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy and became both a practitioner and instructor in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry, as well as a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. Â
Margaret has worked with clients in hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes, and her compassionate approach has touched both private clients and hundreds of students over the years. Many of those students have gone on to become certified practitioners and instructors themselves. She has also written on the use of energy healing and cancer, with work published in Natural Awakenings magazine.
Yolanda Heath
Yolanda Heath serves as Director of Operations at ISHA and is an instructor in both Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and Aromatherapy. With credentials as ND, LPN, CCA/I, and HTSM-CP/I, she brings a deeply integrative, whole-person approach to healing that supports the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of well-being.
Yolanda is passionate about helping people step into wholeness, healing, and freedom by uncovering the root causes of what may be holding them back. Through a Christ-centered, faith-forward, Kingdom-minded approach, she helps others recognize their God-given value, experience greater peace, joy, and freedom, and walk more fully in the gifts and purpose God has given them.
With a background in natural health, nursing, essential oils, and spiritual healing, Yolanda brings both compassionate care and practical wisdom to her teaching. Her heart is to help others heal on every level so they can live with greater alignment, purpose, and blessing.
When she is not teaching, Yolanda enjoys spending time with her family.
